Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Antenna. [Gain: 6 dBd.
Omni/ 9 dBd. Off Set.]
General :
"STAR"
Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Repeater Base Station Antenna is a robust
Base Station Omni Directional Antenna having a uniform Omni Directional Radiation Pattern
with a gain of 6 dBd and a variation of less than 0.5 dB. over 360 degrees. Alternately,
the four dipoles can be arranged collinearly for an offset gain of 9dBd.
It is the only type of Base Station Omni Directional Antenna which is suitable for
Repeater Base Station application due to it's wide band width. It is completely weather
proof and easy to install with simple hand tools.
Design Features:
This Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Antenna has molded sealed phasing harness cable
joints. The phasing harness cable connections to all the four dipoles and the impedance
matching balun section are hermetically sealed inside the dipole boom against any weather
effects. The feed-ends of the folded dipoles are embedded in polymer epoxy to provide for
strength and long lasting trouble free operation.
Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Antenna is DC Grounded providing immunity to noise and
protection against lightening. It has low angle of radiation with a smooth and low SWR
through-out it's operating band. The Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Antenna requires no
field tuning and the central mast supplied with Omni Directional Antenna is in two
sections for ease of, handling, packing and transit. Stainless steel mountings and clamp
to join the two sections of the central mast are supplied with the antenna.
Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Antenna is supplied with a warranty of Five Years.
FAQ: Why choose an Omni Directional Exposed Dipole Antenna over a
Fiberglass Collinear type Omni Directional Antenna for repeater base station.
Answer: Repeater base station being full duplex two channel operation
uses two different frequencies staggered and separated by by 5 MHz. Exposed Dipole Antenna
has a wider bandwidth as compared to Fiberglass Omni Directional Collinear Antenna.
NOTE: The gain of Exposed Dipole Omni Directional Antenna is
expressed in larger gain ratio of dBd., where as the gain of Fiberglass Collinear Antenna
is always specified in dBi. where 2.14 dBi
( Isotropic Gain ) = 0 dBd.( Dipole Gain )
