Dual Stacked Yagi Antenna

This robust, light weight and all weather
Dual Stacked Yagi Antenna is manufactured using aircraft Quality high grade anodized
aluminum tubes and rods. The Dual Stacked Yagi Antenna is supplied with a stacking pipe as
mounting accessory. The stacking distance is factory adjusted by fixing mounting clamps on
the mounting pipe to deliver maximum gain. The phasing harness cable with molded cable
joints and N-Female antenna termination is also supplied with the antenna. The
installation requires no tuning or adjustment of stacking distance resulting in the
installation of dual stacked yagi antenna an easy and simple job.
With the supplied stainless steal mounting hardware, the dual stacked Yagi antenna can be
installed for both horizontal or vertical polarization.
FAQ: Why use a Dual Sacked Yagi, when higher gain
can be obtained from a single yagi
by adding more directors to the same yagi.
Answer: The gain of Yagi Antenna increases rapidly on addition of each
director but soon reaches a limit after which, the gain shows no marked increase with the
addition of directors. This gain limit is usually 12-13 dBi. for a well designed VHF and
UHF band yagi antenna. After the limit, additional metal does not translate in to any
additional gain.
Once this gain limit has been reached, the only practical method to obtain higher gain
from a yagi antenna is by way of stacking two, four or more yagi antennas in the form of
an antenna array.
